This work of experimental science fiction was commissioned by Anabelle Lacroix for the Freedom of Sleep exhibition at Fodation Fiminco in Paris and was published through Liquid Architecture’s Disclaimer Journal. It imagines a future in which sleep has been eliminated, and in which dreaming has been incorporated into the media industry. The film critically explores historical contingencies suggested by current developments in media production and speculates on the impending commercialisation of GANs, diffusion models and other forms of automated cultural production.
