StarSound encapsulates a series of research activities and software-based works aimed to assist sighted and non-sighted researchers exploring data-rich environments using sonification techniques. This project is an ongoing collaboration involving Jeffrey Hannam, and, Astrophysicists Professor Jeffrey Cooke and Dr Gary Foran from Swinburne University. Through this project, the software produced includes VoxMagellan, StarSound and SoFIA. SoFIA was developed as part of an MDIT Studio, AstroSonics, led by Jeffrey Hannam in collaboration with Jeffrey Cooke and researchers from the Center of Astrophysics and Supercomputing, Swinburne University, 2018.
