Essays in Vibrational Poetics
This performative publication experiments with embodied typography and sensorial texts, with past issues commissioned by the AGNSW, Ian Potter Museum of Art, Samstag, Buxton Contemporary, and the Govett Brewster (NZ). This original performative form evolved from a residency with blind artist Aaron McPeake in the Morgue Gallery, Chelsea School of Art, London. Each issue embeds vibratory languaging that evolved through interaction with McPeake’s resonant sculptural bronzes. In 2022, d’Evie and Hancock began collaborating with SIAL to develop audiodescriptive video works, to be exhibited in parallel with video works documenting each performance.
