The Ambisonic Commissions are an ongoing series of commissioned compositions for the Black Box space at RMIT City Campus, Melbourne, and its 24.2 audio system. Ambisonic 1-4 was commissioned, developed and presented between 2020 and 2022, and features four compositions, from artists Meri Leeworthy, Joseph Callaly, Jassy Robertson, and Dylan Imeneo, which are all now part of the RMIT Sonic Arts Collection. This first series of commissions was curated in collaboration with Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio, Monash University, and Melbourne Polytechnic, and supported by the City of Melbourne.
